Pinus strobiformis
- Cone
Growing at the middle elevations of Cerro Potosi, in Nuevo Leon.
Compare this cone to the cone from a tree at the upper elevations of Cerro del Potosi.
The difference is obvious, not only size and shape, also color. The trees at the upper
elevations also had noticable shorter needles in clumps at the ends of the branches. I believe
the upper elevation trees may be Pinus reflexa.
