1 1 Araucaria scopulorum - Trees These trees caused a bit of excitement. When we first saw the trees David de Laubenfels thought that they might be a new species as Araucaria scopulorum was not known from this area. It is one of the rarest Araucarias being listed by the IUCN as Endangered. So this was a new population. New Caledonia 2 2 Araucaria scopulorum - Trunk New Caledonia 3 3 Araucaria scopulorum - Tree New Caledonia 4 4 Araucaria scopulorum - Young tree New Caledonia 5 5 Parasitaxus ustus - Plant Mount Koghi. New population of Parasitaxus ustus. There were 13 individual plants from less than 1 foot up to 5 feet high.
